After 35 years owning my 911 I found the Receipt file from when I bought it.
Didn't look as thick as I remembered/thought it should be, but decided to open it and collate the bills in chronological order. Got to add £1000's to the car's value (according to Mike Brewer).

What a trip down memories lane it has been

The names on the tickets, Porsche locally had a change of owner 3 times, Autocavan, Type911, Autofarm, Berlyn Services, Specialised Cars, Club Autosport, Aldon Automotive, Automotion (USA), a few I can't remember.
Last but not least, Bob Watson.

Did i ever spend spend spend getting the car ship-shape, but the prices are even more eye popping.

Car cost £3000 delivered from a back street garage in Coventry via Exchange and Mart.
Seems expensive to me?

Found the MoT that came with it... :lol: :lol: :shock:

Porsche genuine panels, 2 x rear wings, front tank panel, all the sills, kidneys, tank top and a small pile of other parts for £946.
RHD dash top, £30
Dansk door skins, £35/pr
3.2 engine, 915 Sport box, DME and fuel pipes, £2200 (all correct and working well).
New roof lining, £40
Seat re-upholstery, £200 Pr.
Cellulose paint, primer, tac rags etc £190, two MT tins, 90 pence.
New clutch, £110

Bob's bills look expensive even today! :lol:
I must have kept Bob and Paul in business in 1990 and all the years after, let alone the costs of the Lola.

Anyway, thought this may raise a smile to some of you.

All in a colour matching folder now.

No, it was Guard Red (maybe) when I got it, a Training Centre in Tipton, West Mids, close to where i worked/lived did a lot to it which was a real GTX oil cans and pop rivits and filler job. Not sure what they trained people to do!
I think it had 13 owners from UK registration (V reg) to 1988 and it showed.

The original colour is 'green' and my money is on Condor Green, the paint tag had been hit by a DA sander...so the numbers are missing.
Not Viper, not Sherwood but not nice either.
Wife hated it and so it had to change.
All my restorations have been light yellow to hide my iffy bodywork finishing skills, started with my Y Type Ford in '74.

Sold my Model A Tudor, chopped and all Haige chassis and SuperBell etc for it.

My daughter, 3 years old, now 38....gulp, time really flies when you get into these things.

Puzzled by Y-reg (1983) on what would appear to be an older car.

Could you do that back then? (newer plate on older car)

Indeed, the car came to the uk from Germany and was fitted with a nice 2.2T engine on Weber so.
It also had the 4 speed 915 box, possibly the best bit on the car then.
That box is now modified and in my Lola race car.
The 2.2 engine went into a bay window VW bus and made way for a fabulous 2.4E/S engine.
