Let’s say you have a car from 1926.
It was repainted before the Second World War and It’s been in a barn since 1954,
You’d want to keep that lovely patina on what paint there was left.
But what to use?
It needs to be dry to the touch but let the surface breathe as well as protecting from further deterioration.
I know there are Patina enthusiasts on here, what would you recommend?
Double Boiled Linseed Oil?
Furniture Wax?
Teak Oil?
Or the Ankor Wax?
Ankor Wax or not?

Ankor Wax or not?
It doesn't matter if you speak your mind, because those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter.......!

Re: Ankor Wax or not?
I used bee's wax recently after much searching on my 1934 Royal Enfield bike over original paint that was good/flakey/poor.
Worked well!

Re: Ankor Wax or not?
That’s very helpful.
Thank You. I’ll crack open the Briwax and work it in with a stiff paintbrush!

Wouldn't recommend Ankor Wax, had it on one of my VW's, attracted dirt, sticky, nightmare to get off!
Using Collinite 467s which seems to do a good job following a couple of coats.
