2.2 T fuel pipes

Post by veryporky »

2.2 t on webers. 2 pipes to front (presumably 1 for supply 1 for return) plus 1 to rear to feed the webers. The 2 that go to the front are of different diameters. Is the supply the bigger of the two or is the bigger one the return line :?: :?:

This is the return line from the fuel pump back to the engine presumably (with the fuel pump just next to the fuel tank) as there is no return line from the engine back to the fuel tank on a 70T.

You would think so but this has 2 to the front and 1 to the rear. Here's the pump that's on it, I want to replace it with a cheaper pierburg one in one out pump as webers don't need a return line when push comes to shove. I just need to work out which one to block off. This car had webers as delivered rather than added after. I wonder if cars delivered with Zeniths were normal and the cars delivered with webers had the return pipe. It's probably plumbed like an mfi car. If anyone has one of those and knows which is their return line to the tank its probably the same :?
