Love that To Do list and a venture into a good dose of mods.
I can remember an XK 150 hillclimbing in my class when I started in the early 1990's.

150 Hill climb car..
Not that good, but driven really hard and was smooth but dramatic. Added some variety to the class of 13 cars, but far too slow (bit heavy I think).
IIRC he did a year then took it circuit racing. Big bloke, big beard!
Car was a bit ratty.

I dropped in on Barry last week for a natter about life, electric cars and WW2 Dodge Trucks. So we covered a lot of ground. But i left at 10 and just missed you i think.
Am happy to offer independent testimony to the quality of this build by Mr C. Absolutely stunning in the details. I shan't spoil it for others by sharing my favourite details (their are 2) which you havent got to yet!.
Cant wait to see it in paint!
Would wish you continued luck with the rebuild but between the 2 of you, you dont need it.

Cheeky bugger……
Hi Andrew…thanks for the kind words…it has been a journey for sure…..and something of a challenge at times…but so far the skills of Mr C have yet to be beaten….. 8…..am intrigued which are the favoured 2 details…let’s see if I highlight them as the story unfolds….

Always a great joy to see this particular chapter open page by page.
We are all lucky to see this type of car sorted out and these pictures, to me, feel a gentle smooth planned transition from rust to riches.
I guess the glass profile is all flat laminated and custom cut so will fit the opening, every part of the front window (s?) inset has been changed.
Hope Barry can deliver a bumper Xmas update to tide us over.
Fabulous.

I’d put money on Barry having made a template for the aperture shape before removing an original metal.
