I think the seats are the least of a prospective buyers issues. Some interesting info in the comments!

Is it me or does the VIN stamp have two completely different sizes of digit?

I guess the advert doesn’t state ‘matching numbers’ so it’s a case of reading what isn’t stated rather than what is!

Would be interesting to see photos of the shell during the restoration as that is again not explicitly described other than ‘restored’

Here’s the VIN stamp.

I guess when Porsche stamped it there was a fire alarm or something halfway through and the stamping guy accidentally picked up a totally different size stamp for the second part.

It does say something about it being a flat-nose at some point so presumably it's had extensive work on the front end.

Don't forget that, in those days, it was quite common to have a beer during lunch. Perhaps the latter part of that stamp came after lunch :drunken:
