Heated Green Tint rear window glass

Post by Spit Nolan »

I’ve got a spare heated rear window green tint that came loose with my 67 912.
I installed a non-heated as my car shouldn’t have one and there was no wiring for one anyway.
No wiper hole.
No chips or damage that I can see, all heater elements appear ok, but it is obviously untested.

Will get it out and get some better pics but there it is resting on the car a long while ago.

I can take it to Midlands Aircooled Swapmeet this Sunday if needed. I’m located in in Salford Priors Warwickshire for collection otherwise.

Price wise I’ve no idea, new ones are an astronomical price it would appear!! So erm… just so I’ve put a price let’s say £500 haha!! There nobody can say I haven’t listed a price…. Now truthfully… make an offer that’s realistic if you need it. I don’t and it will probably end up smashed if it just sits in the garage any longer. What’s it worth?! A fiver? Tenner? Hundred? Thirteen hundred?!

I'd like a tinted heated rear windscreen and I'm in the midlands. I spoke with Rick Evans Motorsport when i bought my heated front for £230 and from memory think they were suggesting £250 - £300 for a new rear.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

P.s. what do you know about the swap meet? Is it well-attended and are there many 911 parts? Are prices like enthusiast prices, or dealer/retail prices?

Ok, I have an offer of 99p from my friend at the moment  It’s his if nobody else wants it. Just want it to go to someone who needs it, so will listen to any sensible offers.

Swapmeet is new, not happened before but I know a lot of the traders and know the organiser. Plus I’m on the staff for it. There will be some good stuff there, not sure on what to expect until the morning though to be honest. I know of some of the 911 parts that will be there already and I’ve put a couple of bits on myself.
