Phillip:
a 914 ddk register national meet next summer? somewhwere in the middle of england. just fourteeners only. as we have our dedicated register now, thought the idea of a get together(BBQ) and knees up might be fun?

what does everyone think?
Great idea: looks like there's plenty of potential in terms of numbers! Mind you, it would be nice to invite the other sections as well: just because they can only afford a 911RS or whatever, it would be a shame for them to be left out  .

market harborough sounds good. i reckon we need a campsite/hotel/ b&b.
a few pubs with good booze, a beer garden(BBQ), a large car park, and a long road without CAMERAS.

I still think it would be nice to try and keep it 914, just for a change. Not trying to be bias, but thats the point of the meet?

it would be "the ddk 914 register meet 2006?"

i live in manchester so know very little about the midlands. although was sent to coventry sometime ago. do we need consent from ddk, to make it an official ddk event?

Granted

Read the constituion as it does have some statements regarding insurance.

9 Insurance

Unless otherwise arranged and notified, the DDK and its representatives cannot be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury incurred by a member attending or competing in any event organised by the DDK. Members competing in Club events must sign a standard form of indemnity excluding DDK and its Officers from all blame. Such a form is usually available from the event organisers, or their own insurers. The Rules are subject to review at any time, and are applied at the discretion of the Committee.

DONNINGTON!!!!!!!! 8th October

Post by Robster »

Don't forget chaps - there is a 914 meeting at Donnington Race circuit on October 8th. It was originally a PCGB 914 Register meet, but is open to any 914'ers. Looking to get to the museum at the circuit around middayish. No limit on numbers. museum will be open (i've been before, and it is a fantastic collection of cars).

Please take the time to meet up, it would be great to see you. It is just an excuse to get the cars out and about, so it is an informal gathering to catch with old (and new!) friends.

I think that there will a cruise from 'up north' and a similar cruise in from 'down south'.

I'll keep people posted of the meeting places

Best regards
Robster

Just a thought - what about Billing Aquadrome? Easy access & camping and they're used to car-focussed events.
