The DDK UK Porsche 914 Register

Post by Bootsy »

Since there seems to be a need for this we've reacted to your pleas.

We've launched a new site which simply aims to collect the details of as many Uk owned 914s as possible.

If you follow the link you'll see its all pretty simple. Follow the instructions, register your details and the register will be updated periodically.

Personal details will not be posted. However, if you see a car in the register and you'd like to contact the owner you can provide your details and we will forward them on.

As well as having the register listed on the site we will hold a Spreadsheet of the details.

If this takes off we are proposing to roll this out to all models.

So fourteen owners you're the guinea piglets.

Register away!

Site can be accessed HERE

Feel free to post the URL on other 914 sites with Uk owners so we can work together to build a comprehensive register of these ever popular cars.

Sorry . Having a life was interfering with valuable internet time
Done now
Is it too late to expand the register to include some idea of location within the U.K. Might be useful in organising get-togethers , self-help etc. Most of the regulars know where each other are , but there seems to be a bit of an influx of new blood recently !

Good idea Tom, even though not much personal use to me!! Unless of course you have a Birmingham or other inner city post code, and you have told your insurance you keep the car garaged in mid-Wales!!

Guys, Bootsy this is a fab idea.

Have added my details in.

Does it also need a 'date added' field or something so that if a car is sold on the next owner doesn't add the car in again?????

Best bet would be to not make it too complicated though so it's easier to keep uptodate.

a 914 ddk register national meet next summer? somewhwere in the middle of england. just fourteeners only. as we have our dedicated register now, thought the idea of a get together(BBQ) and knees up might be fun?

what does everyone think?

ps have no idea how to organise such a thing, but would be willing to try with help.

An excellent idea Phillip - would this be a PCGB central location like Southampton  or a sensible one somewhere say in the Notts/Derbyshire area?
