Tacho in my 1970 914 is not working. Is there any advice or links to common issues or quick checks for fix?

have you checked there is a signal to the tacho ? .. feed wire should be from the coil i think ?

Car arrives this weekend so in prep mode but electrics not really my bag except for wiring a plug! I’ll check the basis and already found full set of clock is parts store so hopefully something simple.
