So I know these are harder to find than hen’s teeth, but as I’m getting towards the bottom of my list of wanted parts, I thought I’d throw this out there in case anyone can help (cue the tumble weed…)

- extended oil tank:

Hi Matt,
the catch tank uses the 356 battery strap. The Red Aeroquip cap will be the hardest part to find. :) The twin plug board below. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393501993152 ... mIQAvD_BwE

A reply! Thanks Dave!

The rubber 356 battery strap I already have, as well as the washer bottle. Its the small metal brackets which the rubber strap attaches to which I need.

And that twin CDI frame looks just like the Kroon one I’ve seen: https://www.kroonwireharnesses.com/twinspark-cdi-frame

Close but not accurate - it looks to me like the original one may have been fabricated from two series panels and we may end up doing the same for mine:

And yes, I should have added the red Aeroquip -16 cap for the oil breather tank but seeing as I’ve never even seen one in all my collected photos of 2.5 ST engine bay, I forgot I need one of those too!…

Yes, they bodged up a single board. Easy to do with a bit of old tin roof.

And then if you find an original factory-bodged one at Strähle swap meet or somewhere you have to pay €5,000 for it…

This is what I’m chasing:

The part came with a project car a number of years ago, I was intending on using it in my t/r project, but only went with the one cooler on the right fender

Sounds great!

So do you think it’s a genuine factory part then with correct louvres etc?

No clue if it's a genuine factory part. There are no markings on it, Stretch, (Dave) may know as it came from his stash
