I think '73 was the only year that had seats pads made of foam. Pre'-72 pads were made of needle felt which are available from Reutter Karroserie. I've never tried them but their pictures look good.

According to this vid (time lapse 34:28), Wuppertal are using a reinforced spring box. I wonder where they get them from? :?:

1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

I looked long and hard at those Cobra seats as on option. Though in the end went with the Mark W option with corduroy inserts.

The Cobra upper parts were ok but the seat bases seemed too narrow compared to Mark's (not saying I've a fat arse, more in comparison to the originals)

The seats I borrowed from Gary were Waring ones, and were superb. I'm not a huge person, %' 10"/ 11 stone, 33" waist, and the comfort was spot-on.

This will have to wait for a while, all the doom and gloom over the UK is killing off any mojo towards the 911 atm.

Yes, quite a surprise last night watching the news.
The advice from our Money Adviser is to not draw down any pension and be careful.
This is not his usual approach..

Apparently, the factory offered this an option, M405 and M406.
