Morning … and happy Halloween! :albino: , Apologies if (as I suspect)this has been asked loads of times before but I’m new here!…
What would be the best workshop manual(s) to buy? (There’s alot out there!) covering pretty much everything!- body dims , complete engine and gearbox rebuilds… for the B series 69lwb…..
Many thanks…

apart from the rare original dealer manuals if you can find them, you might have to pull info from various sources incl the web.

Before and since the internet I've 'survived' just using the Haynes Manual and the Lindsay Porter 911 Restoration book.
I suspect the Wayne Dempsey '101 Projects for your 911' is probably good, but I've never seen one.

I guess it all depends on how deep you need to go and for what year.

Pretty deep!.

I’m surprised no one’s done a more in-depth/ anoraky up to date manual since the Haynes one!, ok both books mentioned have been ordered from eBay … might save me boring/bombarding people with questions on here!…
Cheers

The 69 MY is a one year only model and I suspect you will find very little on those unique details mentioned in the above books but as a general overview they should be fine.

Mike

They may not cover what you need though if yours is a ‘69 (i.e. all the unique details Mike mentions)

I assume you know that the parts catalogues ("PET") can be downloaded from Porsche's website? Good for part numbers, obviously, but (in addition to the factory workshop manuals) I find them very useful as an overview of how things fit together.

@ Matteo68 and 210bhp
I do definitely need genetic info- my engine was partly dissembled when I got it which obviously makes it more difficult…
But briefly what are the unique bits of the 69??… (it’s ok you don’t have to list them all! :P )
Thanks!!
