Ken Block's latest video...

Post by KS »

How much did Audi pay for this! Block may not have cut the mustard in WRC, but you have to admire his skills...

Quite a production to say the least, skills all round I think.

Will it sell more AUDI (if that was the mission for the video)?

Cheaper and less risk than a race program. The traditional marketing formula doesn't apply to milk floats. Rather than a rush to the showroom on Monday, the electric race in the rallycross program at Lydden Hill caused a stampede for the burger vans and portaloos on Sunday
maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.

In a separate YT video he and Brian Scotto suggested £10M to £12M but Audi hadn’t told them the actual figure, just said ‘don’t break it’!

The best thing about that video is the Dead Kennedys playing the closing credits!

Nice visuals but by god electric cars are dull as dishwater to listen to.

Mind you I find the making of the Hoonigan films usually much more interesting than the actual finished product. Hope they do one of this…..

We spent two nights In LV on our last Rennsport 18 road trip - this reminds me of what a truly godawful place it is. Only redeeming features - helico trip to Grand Canyon and Shelby factory/museum IMO. Will avoid on our Rennsport 2023 trip and head for a nice desert ghost town or something.
Oh yes- electric Audi - even more boring! The vid had a few nice cars - thought they might join in................

Agreed. No matter how hard they try, electric cars are dull. Ok for functional use but not for fun.
