New member, old wreck….

Post by Team Pacemaker »

Hi … ‘new’ member with a new diy restoration project here, just checking in before I start a proper resto thread sometime in the near future…
This is my 1969 (same age as me !) 911T wreck i imported from the u.s. earlier this year after a 6 month chase!- ‘numbers matching’ and about 90% complete and original (partly stripped- the rest of parts/engine/interior are in my workshop)
Iv got Plenty of questions to ask ! So hopefully I can get some help to get my dream car back on the road!

Yo!
We all love a diy restoration thread.
Have you got started yet though?
Nice to see the Lambrettas, I've had 3, last on fully restored TV Series 3 which I foolishly sold a few years ago..

Yo! :P , no Haven’t started the thread yet as I’ve haven’t actually started working on it yet!… Iv literally just picked up a cheap chassis jig on Friday … then iv got to clear some space and should start it soon! … Iv just been collecting panels/parts when they turn up cheap enough so far…
There’s Cool story behind it that I think people will like tho…

Glad to see some scooterists on here!- I did do a ‘lambretta’ search when I signed up and your name and pics came up….
Iv had ‘afew ‘ lambrettas since I was 17 (1986!) … inc a few infamous ones … 90% all restored/customised by myself
Current on the road ones -

Lovely scooters.
I really enjoyed my last restoration, the TV3.
Totally bog standard which was a challenge.
In the day I had a 'GT225' semi Wildcat but on a carb.
Bought it for £5 note, sold it to by my first car.
I kept on falling off the thing, too much enthusiasm, stupidity, and imortal feeling.
Stupid 16 year old!
Never fell off my Li150 series 2, my first scooter.

Anyway, I look forward to your trip to bringing the car home to road legal.

Some nice old Lambrettas you've got there. I have a '66 Sx200, which made the cover of 'Scootering' a while back. Very hard to get them out of your system, despite whatever four wheeled goodies intervene !

Welcome, and good luck with the restoration. I also have a '69 T. Of course it's a one year only model and getting things like a correct wiring diagram can be difficult,
