Wtd: Carrera 2.7 / Carrera 3.o rear spoiler

Post by Bertroex »

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a 1975 c2.7 or 1976 Carrera 3.o, or at a push any 930 3.o variant, rear spoiler.

Preferably with the rubber lip in good condition.

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Bert

Hi Mick,

Good to hear from you. Gosh: I bought years ago parts from your 3.2 like the tool roll and document holder etc.

Sadly, in this instance it would need to be a time appropriate one for a 76 Carrera 3.

Kind regards,

Bert

Who are these people, Mick Cliff and Bertroex??

Neither on the forum for years and now advertising for parts. Beware, this could be a scam……….

Regards
Mike

good to hear from you two. Hope you are both well!

I have an all-fibreglass one I can probably spare, i.e. the lip is fibreglass too. It's probably aftermarket but will fill a gap. I only need to check that the steel one I have will fit in its place. I'm in Lichfield if you'd like to have a look. I haven't actually taken it off yet. I kinda became attached to it. But I do have the original deck lid to go back on.

You should get an idea here to see if it's the type you're after: Image
1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Ahahaha, DDK is always “a point”: thanks for the welcome.

@robfrost: thank you for the offer, I actually have the whole collection of spoilers, including a glassfibre replica one mimicking somewhat the Iroc 2.8 RSR, but this time it’s a good friend who bought a 76 C3 coupe.

…And he is in Belgium.

So I am looking for an original one.

Having said that, I stroke lucky by buying the NLA rubber, so that’s already a start.

I think I might have found a complete one somewhere in Germany and Carlo (Carlbon on here) has also dug out something so we will have to keep huntin’ and chasin’ until completion.

Cheers,

Bert

If your still looking I have a copy one. Autofarm in the day made a grp lid and had the rubber spoiler manufactured. It's in good condition.

Hey Bert - might Darren possibly have one from his base car that is the subject of the 'flares' restoration thread? That is / was a period Carrera 3.0 and had an early spoiler judging by page 1 of the thread...
2006 RHD 997 Carrera (but DDK remains in my heart - also now no longer)
1972 LHD 2.4T with '73 2.4T CIS motor - gone to a new DDK home
1994 RHD 993 Carrera - gone!
1968 LHD 911L - was the Wife's but now in new hands :-(
