Gauge seal for clock

Post by hot66 »

Anyone got a decent grippy gauge to dash seal for the clock ? I'm fitting a new phone mount but the extra weight means the old seal doesn want to do its job of holding the clock securely in place

Pretty sure I've got a spare seal but hard to tell in advance how grippy it will be...

Have you tried a length of electrical tape around some part of the clock body to effectively make it a bit bigger in diameter so that the seal is a better interference fit?

How about a bit of tape round clock to expand the rubber seal?
Cheers
