Agree, too high. I think 20mm down from Porsche spec is about right for an early car.
Easy set is to drop the front until the lower wishbones are horizontal to the road and set the rear 1 deg higher using a level on the sills.
Just my take.

Too low and the gearbox can catch the road...

agree looks US spec ride height which then makes it difficult to judge the stance from the tyres alone

BTW, what about Kleber? (owned by Michelin). Available in 185/70R15 89W for £96 a pop. Also available in many other sizes like 205's

at that price and as its got the correct speed rating it looks a good option .. would like to see an actual photo of one and hear from anyone that's tried them

I’m just looking at this and whilst no expert, I can’t see a Kleber Tyre with a tread pattern that looks like the retro XWX?

I said carcass, not tread pattern.

Anyway, I may not be right if the carcass is the same as the XWX one (185/70) - it's just what I believe.

Peter - Goodyear Efficient Grip tyres are available in both those sizes/speed rating ...

Is the feeling that those are any good?

I had currently got Toyo Proxes TF1 on this list but an initial call on Saturday afternoon suggested they might not be easy to get hold of.

Of course a Monday search might reveal more sources…

I was wrong to compare the Kleber with the XWX. I didn't realise the XWX has a lower speed rating than the Kleber. I have deleted my above post.
