Probably my favourite rims on a 911.However,we now have the luxury of new copies by Group 4.Kinda destroys the value of original ones.Someone somewhere might likely prefer "original" which I get.To me Id be happy with the Group4 copies. The only copies I wouldnt consider are Fuchs. The copies Ive seen recently (in a well known Porsche supplies shop) are truly awfully finished.Fuch knew how to make a wheel.
Currently restoring 3 pairs to RSR finish. The quality of the metal is truly outstanding. Now matter where you cut, grind or polish no inperfections are evident.Contrast to the alloy parts on my Commando.Polishing highlights the poor quality. At least thats what my "polishing guy" tells me.....

The Torq Thusts that Group 4 produce are replicas of the early magnesium versions - the Torq Thrusts on Ebay are the 15 x 7" made from aluminium which are not currently replicated.

I personally feel that the mags suit SWB and the alumium suit LWB.

Hi,
It's me who is selling the Torq Thrusts.
I have seen the Group 4 wheels. They are nice but the centre part has a much smoother cast than my originals and I don't think it looks anywhere near as good.
Sam at Pierce and Sons polished mine and they have not been on a car since.
I would sell for £1800 to a DDKer
cheers

In my view there's no substitute for the real deal! Good luck with the sale!
