Techno Classica Essen ?
I appreciate this may be a bit of a crystal ball, however what`s the thoughts on this going ahead at the end of March official website is still saying its on but cant find much info on what the covid restriction are on large indoor gatherings and will it have an effect on the amount of exhibitors ?

Here are the latest travel requirements to Germany from the UK: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advic ... quirements
Basically you need to prove you are fully vaccinated. Anti-vaxxers will have to quarantine for up to 10 days...
I suspect one major change will be the effect of Brexit on UK-based exhibitors as there is now a requirement to use a customs carnet for cars and goods taken into the EU.
I must admit, after talking with a fellow journalist from Germany the other day, I will be pleasantly surprised if the event does take place as scheduled.

Keith,
thanks for the input think we have resigned ourselves that this year will be a no go, struggling with flights out of Scotland as we were leaving it to the last minute, still have vouchers from eurowings from 2 years ago to use up ! and the hotel prices in Dusseldorf are bonkers compared to what we have paid previously. just need to head to le mans instead

You mean people who chose not to or perhaps cannot have a vaccine? Not all these people are 'anti-vaxxers'.KS wrote: Anti-vaxxers will have to quarantine for up to 10 days...
I think I will try for the Stuttgart Retro show - enjoyed that more than Essen.
Re: Techno Classica Essen ?
I'll be going if it's on as I'm only a couple of hours away, and I'm triple jagged as well because I'm not an idiot. Not expecting it to actually go ahead though.
Re: Techno Classica Essen ?
Stuttgart retro classica looks more likely to go ahead now its been moved to April. I'll be going to that.

I think Essen is on for 23-27 March.
Never been to Essen before. Is it worth going?

Yes! It’s the greatest but most overwhelming classic show you’ll see. Enjoy!

Just saw Prill posting on Instagram about being at the Paris Retromobile. Shame to have missed that because I figured it was doable in a day on the Eurostar. Next year
