We're cut from different cloth, you and I.

I hope it stops faster than it accelerates - 0-60mph in 14 seconds, despite the V8.

I think some had a Cadillac OHV motor that might have been faster. Otherwise they were Ford V8 Pilot underpinnings with Sidney Allard mods including IFS.

Not surprisingly the XK120 caused quite a stir when it appeared.

Josh Sadler made a good job of racing Allards in recent years, but not a saloon.

Very '50's' so a bit Marmite.
IMHO the Pilot was a nicer car!

I’m glad we don’t all like the same thing.

Caroll Shelby made a good job of racing Allards, in fact an Allard inspired the Cobra.

I agree on the Pilot, they were wonderful old cars and I’d have loved on. I was living in Hitchin in the sixties where there was an absolutely as new Pilot for sale for about £20 for ages. 12mpg was the problem. There are still some absolute beauties around now, they literally were built like tanks with almost the same suspension as a model T.
