BEHR front oil cooler dimensions/ specifications for bespoke

Can anyone help with my next challenge please - does anyone have access to an original BEHR front oil cooler with M30 fittings, as fitted to the ‘72 S that they can measure and provide all dimensions of, count the number of fins and so on, so that I can provide this information to an oil cooler fabricator to make LH and RH authentic - but hopefully more efficient - coolers for my S/T please?

Also, if anyone might have a BEHR specification document (if one even exists), that would be helpful too.

I should add that I also need the dimensions and positioning of the three brackets, including the angle of the curved one too, if that’s possible.

According to someone on ESR who tried the same thing last year, the tooling to make an accurate copy of the BEHR cooler is far too expensive to be worthwhile (someone who makes coolers full time estimated a six-figure sum), which might explain why the Porsche Classic new front coolers have a considerably simpler design…

Same but different, We use Porsche 997 condensers in our AC systems. They cost around £80 each.

It’s a tight fit so we get asked about whether we could make one 20mm shorter. I had a quote to do this. £260 each but a minimum order quantity of 1000 units.

Tooling is expensive.

I’ve found a left-hand, 1972-specific, front oil cooler with M30 fittings, made by Carpoint, who also make a right-hand ‘72 S cooler in the same design, and whilst both don’t look like the original Behr cooler for the tooling reasons described above, it is possibly the only left-hand cooler available off the shelf.

I’m therefore probably going to go with this for my car as it won’t require the brackets to be cut off a RH one and welded back on again, with all the potential damage to the matrix that would risk.
