Dansk SSI tool help

I got given a tool when I bought my stainless steel heat exchangers. Great, I thought, that will get to the tricky nuts.
BUT .. the spanner end does not fit a regular M8 nut (13mm AF).
I’ve measured the spanner at ~12mm. Does anyone know if there are special nuts associated ? I have the cap head barrel nuts where the through holes are in the HEs . Perhaps the tool is a red herring !

I gave up, put the special tool in the back of a drawer, and carried on as normal !

.

It's a very long time since I last did that job on an early 911 but I seem to remember I ended up using copper-coated flange nuts with with a reduced (12mm) head in those locations ...

^^ This. Copper locknuts are what they are expecting you to use.

We have modified those spanners welding on the end of a 13mm ring spanner.

Thanks all, I’ve ordered some Titanium flange nuts. I noted that I should use a copper slip like interface material when fitting.
If that doesn’t work I’ll follow peterK and put the tool in the back of the cupboard!!

Use VW or BMW 12mm copper plated exhaust nuts. A slim 12mm socket also fits through the holes in an SSI.
