Flyeheel bolts

Post by carl »

Hello I have taken my flywheel of my '70 914/6 engine. Am I right in thinking the bolts are stretch type and now need replacing?

Not sure about the 914/6, but I always replace flywheel bolts.

Design 911 seems to stock some, not sure if they are right for yours.

HI Carl

the bolts above are for the 9 bolt/later engine, SC/3.2/964, I would not use the 9 bolt, bolts twice, as I have come across the heads falling off

the bolts you have will go back, as long as the socket hole is good and not rounded off, DO NOT use locktight on the threads, just the correct torque
