Voltage Regulator

Hi All.
My VR has given up the ghost and I am wondering if anyone here is using a Solid State version.
My alternator is a SEV Marshal in a 76 911, I believe either 70 or 75 amp unit.
If anyone is using a a newer VR what is the part and where did you buy from.

Hi Mike,

on my '74 with the SEV Marshall alternator I fitted a HUCO 13 0427. At the time they were readily available on eBay etc - cost around £20.

Page 14 of my restoration thread for the Manhattan project.

Or just use a unit with an internal VR. We reproduce the Porsche Service
Bulletin for this upgrade at the end of our high output alternator install manual which you can download from this page:
