Yeah I know "how long is a piece of string" but I've been pretty dormant on the value of our cars recently, but, a guy came today and bought one of my Porsche tractors and whilst walking through my barn noticed the unfinished 912 and asked if it was for sale.
It's a 67 RHD freshly painted in signal red now awaiting reassembly. we've owned it since 95 , and since it's repaint earlier this year haven't had a chance to start the putting back together stage.
Not sure we need to sell yet but some thoughts of current value could be useful.
many thanks guys.

Cheers

Ian

I must be out of touch. £50 sounds like a nice, running car with a fresh engine?

Well, I've started re-assembling the wife's 912 RHD after it's body has been fettled and painted, all's going well, sound deadening done, roof lining done, A and B pillars vinyl done, carpet set ordered, engine builder chosen (PRS) but I've looked at the wiring looms and I'm not overly happy;

I've checked out the "respected" loom providers and am now using oxygen......prices are hideous and delivery times even more so.

I will probably obtain the correct gauge/size wires, in the correct colours and create a wiring board myself, it ain't rocket science and as long as one observes the correct volts/amps etc situation it can be achieved by a mere ,mortal like me.

Unless of course someone has a sensibly priced loom supplier.

will keep you posted.

cheers

Ian

.

I don't know what you consider to be a sensible price but have you tried Autosparks in Nottingham ?

They list a complete wiring loom for a RHD 912 (albeit 1965/'66) here:

Thanks Andy, Yes I had spoken with them, they are quoting 18weeks---that doesn't work for me.
so I will probably buy the cables and make my own.
thanks again
