.
It's looking great Mark - what's the relevance of the number 53 (your age ?) ?

I'm probably in the minority but I think it'd look better without the race numbers ...

Hmmm. I wasn’t 100% on the numbers initially either but I really like them now. The acid test for me is my gut reaction when I open the garage. Can always take them off if I get bored.

The 53 thing is pretty geeky.

I was born on the 5th of the 3rd. I have 3 daughters so there are 5 in my family. We got married on the 5th May so 5/5. The 5th of May is the 125th day of the year. 125 is 5 x 5 x 5 OR 5 to the power of 3.

I said it was geeky

OK time for an update

For a few years now I've been running my sounds through an ioplay2 system - it's basically a bluetooth receiver that outputs into an Amp that in turn drives the speakers.

It has worked brilliantly and meant whatever is on my phone can be played through the stereo.

However after the recent resto work/respray when I finally drove the car it wasn't working. My phone would recognise the ioplay and connect to it but then immediately disconnect. I did a bit of research and foudn a similar thing affecting users of the iphone 11 pro. I toyed with buying an older phone just for sounds but then my daughter wanted to swap phones with me for a couple of month to use my better camera in her final year project. This lead to me having an iphone 7 (in pink) for a while. I was then able to test it with the ioplay and found that I got the same problem - I'm thinking that the older ioplay is not compatible with the later versions of bluetooth in the latest ios operating system.

I decided to bite the bullet and find another way of connecting via bluetooth and eventually settled on this:-

It's more expensive but meant to give good sound
