911SC Black Whale Tail - Rare early all rubber version

Post by Dunx28 »

Hi All,

After recently buying my 1979 911SC I removed the whale tail (I prefer without) so now its up for sale. I understand that this is a rare early version of the whale-tai in all rubberl, fitted by the official dealers in the U.S (where I imported the car from) and is in very good condition (the car has been garaged under all owners)

Sale includes the original internal fitting bar/bracket and all fixings. I removed it myself so can testify that everything is in good working order (see pictures). See picture showing rear fixings all being intact.

I'm advertising it on DDK before advertising elsewhere, for £250 +postage. I know they go for more, especially in this condition, but will be happy to accept this for a fellow enthusiast. I'd recommend collecting it from me if you can as its large, so I imagine that UK postage could be £50+ and international postage even more. I'm based in Nottingham NG12 4AB.

Any questions, please let me know!

Could not give these away a few years back. Put one on eBay (2012?) and got £6 for it!

Hi Jonny,

How things change! The kids with big plastic spoilers on car posters in their bedrooms are now grown up and the same cars in their garages!

Happy new year!

These all rubber Tails were specifically made for the the British 3.0 Carrera cars made between 76-77.
Anyone who has a UK delivered 3.0 Carrera should own one of these.
