It might have been this lot: https://www.head-shop-uk.co.uk/
I CANNOT vouch for them. But they may be able to point you to satisfied 911 customers.

I was just about to mention the same company who advertise on Ebay.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PORSCHE-911- ... 0oQAvD_BwE
Not sure if the price they are quoting is for one head machined, or all 6, or those shown are on an exchange basis.
Might be worth giving them a call - lot of money to spend on an unknown quantity, unless others have had similar work done?
Or these to buy outright, albeit 3.0

Just a random "thought" when I look at the photos
Driving that fan : It's a "lovely" solution .... but my brain says power loss through 90 degree gearbox - and lots of heavy engineering too. ..... Is a "simple" direct mounted electric motor solution possible (lots lighter , less power loss) ??
end of random thought for the day !

Thank you all, and this is why you do a thread on DDK.
I am waiting on a m/c shop now run by an ex Osselli man, fingers crossed.
I will follow the suggestions above too.
The eBay man I had seen before, but not willing to risk the heads going awol.
My ideal is to get MB Engineering to do them, and will call Mike once the WEVO parts arrive and see if he can do them, I trust him totally.
His bro, Neil, has not responded.
James: who are EB?
As to the flat fan...
It is indeed heavy, just taken it off the engine 30 mins ago, must be 5 or 8 kg.
It looks great and works, but the stock 911 set up might be better!
It is food for thought though, and crossed my mind when I had it in my hands!

In the meantime, the box is off.
After 10 years of very very hard starts the stock F&S friction plate is down to 0.5mm of the rivets, so a new one for next year, but the flywheel and pressure place faces are great.
All a testimony to a light car despite the hillclimb slicks and my lack of sympathy off the start lines, but no slipping the clutch helps.

Head machining now all sorted. Spoke to the man after sending an email, talks the right language in the right engineering way, you could almost smell the cutting fluid down the phone.
Quoted the price which also included VAT and I can take them/collect too (not far from me).
3 weeks lead time. good web site and good pics of the heads done on 911's and many others.
Proper engine remanufacturer.
Happy.

That engine is so clean. It's almost a shame to take it apart

Re: 8000 rpm/300 bhp 3.2 reuild
All is not as it seems Neil The engine had done very few miles, rebuilt diy about 5 years ago. 10 hills a year x 4 runs = 40 x 5 = 250 runs at about 50 seconds a go = 208 mins of running.
Should be clean!
Thought a bit about the fan.
I like the flat fan, if I close one eye the car looks a bit like a Porsche 908 (ok, maybe both eyes)
To return the engine to stock fan I would need an alternator (£120), a fan (£150 ish) and the shroud (£250 ish), pully fan belt parts, so about £500/£600.
That would buy the engine bearings etc.
Thus the nice (to me) fan stays and I'll carry the weight (7Kg)
Drive all cleaned and the oil leak on the drive box fixed.

My dear departed old pal Nick Spears (with his 911 on the right of this photo) would be delighted to know that the gearbox he made all those years ago is still going well.

Re: 8000 rpm/300 bhp 3.2 reuild
It is a solid job Jonathan for sure as shown by it's weight, but I love the flat fan, sod the weight and bhp drain.
Trial fit so many years ago now:
Inside the angle drive is the most elegant scroll gear cut that makes it so silent and smooth. Some oil had escaped over the last few years, so removed the input carrier (hence seeing the drive gear) and popped some Shell engine oil in to top things up. Made a new gasket, and all together now.
Fan surround and fan will need grit blasting and repaint before it goes on again.
The car goes into storage on Tuesday (JW:Duncan Andrews place) close to me. This will be the first time the 911 has been out of my 'sight' since 1988!
Thus this week the engine can come out and on the stand for stripping to the crank.
WEVO parts being shipped on Monday, so I hope to hand the those and the box to Mike Bainbridge at the autojumble end of October.
Man arranged to twin spark the heads up in Warrington.
Cams need ordering next followed by all the smaller bits n pieces, bearings etc hopefully waiting for the arrival of the Pistons and rods from the USA.
I'm itching to get stuck in.

Shame.
I can however arrange to drop the heads off in Warrington, then up to Kendal to drop the box off to MB, and an overnight in the Lakes. Day in the Lakes, back home for late tea.
