I’ve just concluded the purchase of a 1972 RHD 911E, chassis number 9112200299. It’s been converted to a 74 RS by Bob Watson in the late 90’s with the current spec as follows:

930 trailing arm, Motec M48 ecu, Kaaz plate diff, 4.00 final drive (~150mph max), Mocal oil cooler, Ohlins adjustable dampers, 30mm elephant racing rear torsion bars, 22mm elephant racing front torsion bars, Adjustable anti roll bars, elephant racing rear, porsche front, Stack instruments, Momo wheel, 8” front wheel Fuchs, 9” rear wheel Fuchs, Michelin TB5 tyres

Engine spec is:

3.8l 964 engine – built by Jonny at unit eleven and mapped by wayne schofield,

I used to work at Southbound many moons ago and in order to make it slightly more road friendly the plan is to carpet the interior, fit doorcards and fit Recaro 1328 and Repa harness reps.
I’m also thinking about refitting some dials (10k Rev counter and 180mph tacho), it also needs number plate lights and plates and I want to fit a slightly different exhaust.

I’ve just bought these 1328 replicas

And this steering wheel, (not my car in the pic)

I’ve got a set of VDO dials to go in the car now and the stack dash will be going where the clock would be, once it’s all together I will get the dials sent off to be re-calibrated etc to 10k

Sure is! Tax and MOT exempt, recently had some pressed metal silver/black plates made up.

I’ve also bought some rennline floor plates and eyeing up a wevo shifter and REPA harnesses. The plan is to carpet it in the correct style carpet and fit RS door cards.

I’ve also collected all of these……

And it will look like this….

I’ve got proper REPA harnesses Mike. I had them made for my RSR.

Not sure you will pass the ‘MOT exempt’ with that spec if I’m honest….I’d just get it MOTd if ai was you to be safe….

Interesting! Do you still have them?

It is getting MOT’d shortly!

It’s almost finished!

Ended up being a whole lot more work than expected, new front panel, new fuel tank, new oil cooler, frunk all painted white…. Loads of other parts behind the scenes, definitely worth it though!!
