CATC

Post by Ignatzcatz »

Really looking forward to the PCGB CATC meeting at Hedingham Castle this coming Sunday. It will be a first time plus hundred mile journey for the wee beastie so fingers crossed it'll make it. An estimated count for 356's attending will be in excess of 60 cars so it should be quite a show, and of course lots of other tasty air cooled stuff. See you there!!

I was really looking froward to going and catching up with everybody but unfortunately I have a clash of events. This weekend I'm moving my daughter from Norfolk to Edinburgh to start University so aren't going to be able to make it. Hope it goes well for the organisers, everybody has a great time and loads of pictures please!

Enjoy the drive! We have a 320-mile drive each way, so time to put the road tyres and air filters back on the 914 to smooth the ride and quieten it down a little! Must be getting soft in my old age (cue crude comment from Bootsy...).

Want to go in convoy Tomblyboo? I’m talking my niece to the very same place for the very same reason on Sunday!

Shame.

My niece says I’m only allowed to drop her off and run so I’m stopping Sunday night near Morpeth on the way back. No hanging around permitted. You must be less embarrassing than me.

Nick Cave will be epic. Enjoy.

640 miles in a 914? That doesn't sound too pleasant. May I suggest the purchase of a 1st gen Cayenne, cheap as chips and you can do 500+ miles in these trucks and get out feeling fresh as a daisy, get a diesel and get 40mpg to boot

No no Keith, not as a replacement, heaven forbid, as an additional vehicle. I mean air con, cruise, tiptronic, heated seats, Bose music, what's not to love?

OK, I know you can't polish a turd but they're so damn useful, all previous comments apply and there's that massive load space, better than my old F150.
