£10 per vehicle, including all occupants. You can sit outside, admire the cars, and feed and water a family for about £50.
Not sure if I'll have an air-cooled car on the road by then but I've bought a ticket and I'll do my best. You don't need an air-cooled vehicle to attend. I might have room for a passenger depending how it pans out.

I'll definitely be going in my signal orange 911T now as I already have the registration papers and plates are arriving later today... I just need to put it back together in time.

Sunny weather forecast for tonight's outing to the Air Cooled Appreciation Society. Lets hope lots of interesting air cooled cars come out.

P.s. a few of us will be there from around 4:30 for pizza and drinks. No ticket needed if you get there before 5. Dm me if you need to use my ticket which I won't need assuming the journey goes smoothly.

Orange 911 old banger with whale tail
Likely with Chris68 - silver 68 911 and possibly his mate in a 356 roadster

Hi Deano - only just seen this message. Great to meet you last night, thanks for coming over. You might try these guys for those welding repairs:
https://www.shorade.co.uk/
They're a bigger outfit and Porsche Approved bodywork shop but they seemed keen to accommodate the likes of us with reasonably priced work when I saw them. I think anywhere you go, £1,500 will be minimum per kidney bowl. They likely have a minimum to put it on the Celette and I'd be surprised if that isn't in the £thousands. There's another guy with a celette in Cannock but he said if jobs include any welding he's booking work for about 2 years' time.
With Shorade being a bit bigger I think they will be able to accommodate you sooner as they have a large throughput of work. You will pay a bit of a premium with them being a big outfit but I'd be reasonably optimistic it wouldn't be extortionate.

Definitely worth a chat (I suspect he may have done so already) although this is relatively minor repairs to a non-stripped body, wanted relatively promptly. All the best people have a good lead time.

Thanks chaps for the suggestions, and good to meet you guys yesterday...
Its a bit off topic, so I wont continue here, except to wrap this up - I've been a bit unlucky over about the last 12 months with 3 extremely well-know firms or people having issues and dropping my job. I'm not going to say who.... Unfortunately, the first of these convinced me to go much further than I had planned and agreed to do the job, so I very happily hacked off sills and rear wings on that basis.
Still, I will end up with a much more solid, if less original car, that should last another 50 years maybe if it is done properly... by someone.... and they do what they promised.
Lets not continue that discussion here - suggestions by PM (must have a Celette or equiv.) would be great though if you are reading this.
I'll update progress on my own 73T resto thread soon... ish
