HELP ! right hand side of engine not firing

this is strange as the car was driven 5 weeks ago no problem
after a couple of tests as the car was running lumpy discovered o/s bank of cylinders was not firing...
so removed carb(webber) tested it and everything seems ok acceleration jets.ok float chamber seems ok
bit puzzled ...any advice would be great

Seems a bit of an odd symptom.

How exactly have you checked the carb?

I would check fuel delivery to the carburettor in question in case there is a blockage in that branch.
I would also check you are getting spark to that bank, could the distributor cap be loose and has lifted/tilted on one side?

Have you got one of those cheap spark tester pens to see if both plugs are firing ?

thanks fellas ..yes had spark on both o/s plugs...fuel was getting to carb.! then it started to cough..and now seems semi ok.. will have to wait and see what happens next start up best rgds geoff.

Dirt in an idle jet? But strange for both to be blocked. When did you last replace the soft fuel pipes? This is also a tiny filter in the carb if you have a Weber. Worth checking
