I have never found enough info on the car unfortunately.
It was sold new in London but never registered and shipped to South Africa.

Was the 1st RHD 69t sportomatic manufactured that year (I think) but is now manual.
1 of 6 first batch production cars shipped to Uk for MY 69.

So not special from what I know. 00009 was the Earl’s Court car.
Really wish I could find more info but tried for years.

1st owner: M Black 148 the water gardens, Edgware rd. sw2.
The car came back to Uk in 2000.

I would think one of the earliest 69t cars in existence- Oct 68?

Appreciate you asking
Coincidentally, this is back on the market. 69E Sporto, Earls Court car, with a Sth African connection.

My car would have looked exactly the same and was a sporto originally. Same colour but a T sporto.

Hello, can anyone tell me what the hole is to the lower right ?
It’s the panel below the rear quarter window near the the rear seat area. Looks like there is welding inside the hole?

Both sides have the same.

Those holes simply provide access to the cavity behind, like many others. They wouldn't normally have weld, so perhaps an old repair and worth investigating I think :cyclopsani:

Hello and happy new year.

Need some help,
Picture above is the front window wiper area. The lip which holds the seal is perforated. I know design 911 does a windshield scuttle repair panel.
But does anyone sell the lip only ?

Thanks.

Hi Lee,

I used part of the restoration design panel for the corner area on both sides and fabricated a larger area of the lip where it needed it.

The little triangle in the bottom of that shot looks a bit ropey so probably should come out.

Today I managed to find time to remove paint from front partition panel.

I’m unsure if I should try and keep the original and patch it up… or replace it?

I’ve already got a new panel but wondering if I should have certain areas repaired. I have an original Porsche front lip I could fit?

What’s your thought?

I repaired mine that was worse than that, however if I had my time again I’d replace it as rebuilding those corners is an absolute pain!
