Hello. Cleaned the rear of the car off this afternoon. No rust found. Could someone tell me if there are spot welds on the lower edge under the engine lid catch.

Better picture here. You can see three white spots of filler. Can someone advise?

All my photos are too dark to tell unfortunately.

Your car looks original back there so I’d just clean the filler out and have a look. The welds are filled other than the four around the catch if I remember correctly.

Now got to research who I’m going to use for a body shop as I think will be ready for December timeframe. Very unsure who to use. Mainly because of cost. Going to get a few shops to look at it.

Thanks

Good luck, I hope it’s better than you think.
I’ve now collected most of the panels I think I need. But probably need more. Ha

Picture above is inside my smugglers box. Am I missing something as I see three screw holes?

Any ideas what could have been attached here?

Car is a 69t, RHD coupe.

Hello, recently scraped the underseal from the drivers side inner wing and noticed a rectangular plate ?
Does anyone have any idea why a plate would be used on an inner wing when the metal seems very good with no evidence of rot?

It don’t make much sense not under something was installed at one time.

Someone told me just days ago that the RHD's had the louvre holes covered up with a plate, and that plate seems to fit the bill.... I think it might be original. Perhaps someone else might confirm.... :cyclops:
