Voltage regulator

Post by johnmcd »

Think I need a new voltage regulator
Anyone had experience with either replacing or refurbishing the old one (which actually looks in good external condition)
Any thoughts would be gratefully received

Just buy a modern Bosch. They are about £30/40.

.

I would take the opportunity to 'upgrade' to one of Bosch's newer electronic regulators - they look virtually identical to the original electro-mechanical version.

I did this recently with my 1.3HF Fulvia which uses a very similar (same ?) VR:

With a little bit of searching I managed to find one for £100 ...
