Renting a car lift

Post by jonno1 »

Has anyone been able to hire one of these anywhere:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-LIFT-MOB ... %7Ciid%3A1

I want one to get under the Alfa and tidy a few areas and would prefer not to rely on jack/axle stands but dont want to buy one of these and then have to store it.

Just wondering if anyone has been able to hire one.

Couldn't find anywhere that did this in the end...

So bought these adjustable ramps off ebay. Seller is robokop2002 who makes them to order. They are very heavy and robust and I can get the front end up nice and high easily without using the jacking points. Comes with some proper hefty chocks for the rear wheels. Obviously I have axle stands as a failsafe when under there.

Sorry, its robokop2002 not 2020. He doesn't have any listed at the moment.

Thats them - says he will have more at the end of March and will list them on ebay.

Not cheap by any means But given my options are limited space wise both in and out of use, and they do exactly what I need them to do I thought it was "worth it".

Did consider those but not sure they would have worked on the Alfa and the 911.

I have looked at theses in the past but not got around to pulling the trigger. Just soldier on with the trolley Jack and stands.

Above is a link to their website, no affiliation on my part. But i did grow up in that part of the world....

I've had a pair of the CJ auto ones for 10ish years now, they are great. (not the best image!)
