Exciting stuff

So on the ring will you be welding it all round or filling/leading the gaps? (I appreciate if you weld the whole thing you'll get a fair bit of distortion)

Going for continuous tacs all the way around but done very slow, the sheet metal is very stiff, no flex. Then grind back.

Couple of delays but going to paint next week. Base coat and 1st clear should be on by next Friday, fingers crossed. Then a drying period of a week or so. Followed by flat and second clear coats, polish and assembly. All on target for end of April.

The bonnet fuel filler hole was a real success, using the metal ring worked.

Panic averted on the engine build, problem was the tang on the bearing or Carrillo rods were on opposite sides;

Paul at PRS sorted the problem with correct big ends :) - Thanks

Just caught up with this, fwiw I made a former to go under the end of the GT bumper trim, cut away a little of the mounting return slot, and dressed the outside over the former with a small smooth hammer to close the end of the extrusion, tricky but satisfying....W

Car is now in paint, being done by LA Custom at Rashers Green, Dereham.

Fingers crossed calling in tonight after work. These were sent over yesterday for the wing top graphics. Ron Goodman's 356 was used for influence. it wont be green.

Boss darts
maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.

Thanks for the encouraging comments :)

Cant wait to see the car in the sunshine.

Going through a problem with the flywheel, will update everyone depending on what the part supplier does.
