Received some pics last night. The new replacement panel required a lot of additional work via a shrinker to get the profiles to match.

Great to see the updates, its coming along well.

These cars are always more work than you'd think re-panels, made by hand again springs to mind 8)

Latest batch of up to date pictures from the land of the black art body shop;

The passenger side just needs some fettling around the bottom left to improve the radius gap and along the back of the door to panel line. The heat from welding slightly shrunk the panel leaving a slightly larger gap near the middle. It will need minimal filler to make perfect.

The door gasket seals were all fitted to ensure door closed correctly aligned. I have another new set of seals to fit.

The driver side is also progressing quickly and will get the same panel replacements as the passenger side

There were a number of old repairs on repairs on repairs you get the idea;

Trying to use as much original steel as possible.

The B pillar is going to be moved as the gap at the window frame is 1 to 2mm out of align.

Made a visit in the blistering heat, to the body shop. The body work is progressing and to a very good quality, after 40+ years of ownership is great to be able to finally restore the car to the standard it deserves. The count down is starting on attending CLM 2023 but determined to be ready.

Both sides are mostly done, just some final fettling to complete. Next area is some lace work in the engine bay then some small areas just to massage. Unless we find some more horrors

Antique metal soon to be on ebay :)

Best I can do today is some picture updates;

I think both doors/ sides are finished and we are now looking at tackling the smaller areas

Not a lot of original metal left in this area. No repair panels available for this, so Pete is making his own
