Expat checking in

Post by shamrok »

Hi all, moving to the Suffolk area for at least a few years and bringing my car with me. Looking forward to exploring the islands and going to some events.

Car is an '83 SC, been my DD for a few years. CIS has been deleted and it's running ITBs with EFI.

A few shots of the ol' girl...

Running a PMO rainhat setup now, so this shot is a little dated. The engine compartment is more tidy now and the AC has been completely removed.

Lovely looking car, fabulous engine bay ! Much nicer than the 83 SC DD I had on your side of the pond a few years back which, sadly, I decided to leave behind at the last minute, and leaving an almost empty 32ft shipping container. Can we assume RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk?

EFI looks good, still with the Triumph ITB’s? That’s what I’ve got on mine.

Thanks! Looking at somewhere between the Cambridge-Ely-Bury St Edmunds triangle.

Haha, maayyyybe...yes. :salute: And shame about leaving the car behind, tho I expect it's probably putzing around here somewhere. I'm leaving behind a Toyota Land Cruiser that I've had forever and it's killing me.

Thanks! Have visited lots but looking forward to sticking around awhile

Yep, still have them, although I'm thinking about swapping them out for something else, mostly cuz I can't leave anything alone and partly because I don't love the rainhat setup with the Triumph throttle body rubber boots being oval vs. round. Running Microsquirt versus Mega, no complaints!
