Hi,

I have a steering wheel Part number - 901-347-081-10 - made in 1971

Im after advice on any parts required to complete before fitting.

It needs a new Horn Contact Pin and i believe a horn button rubber cap.

Are there any other parts that are required for the wheel and horn button ? - pictures below

Thanks

Danny

.

Apart from what you've already mentioned, the only other parts you'll need are the spring & cup washer that go on the back of the splined hub.

Hi, another question - fitted the steering wheel and when horn push installed the horn is on permanently. in the last photo should the two silver parts that screw to the horn push be insulated from each other ?

Thanks

Danny

Yes. Fibre washers.

.

You also need to prevent the screws from creating a 'bridge' contact by isolating them via 'top hat' washers (the larger diameter goes at the bottom).

The originals were Bakelite (?) but replacements are typically modern Nylon-type plastic - see the black versions sold by Sierra Madre as part of their horn plate installation hardware kit - shown below.

You should be able to find some relatively cheaply on ebay.
