Valve Adjustment!!

Post by neilbardsley »

after some help from Paul at Greatworth ran the 914 for the first time in many year yesterday but running poorly. Thought it's ok I will do a tune up myself. I can adjust the valves on my 356 without jacking up the car. Then I found this

The title is valve adjustment made easy! Which is the easy part :)

Perhaps they should have entitled it, "step by step guide", it's a pig of a job.
The using the wheel to turn the engine step is about the only thin you can do to make it easier.
You will spend a dirty hour or two under your car. Do it quick before it gets to cold!

Thankfully caught up with Andrew. He had already done the valves and timing. I will recheck and look for vacuum leaks.
