Or RS arches. And you’d want a strut brace for the track stuff. And the sill trims look out of place with the LWT look. And and and always things to pick at...

Still a nice car though!

I think they're referring to the 'finish' (they should have said 'RSR-style' finish) rather than the sizes Jason ...

The sill trims look fine to me with the 'Touring' (M472) spec James ...

Ja, good point Andy. At first view I didn’t see the front and rear bumper trims, my old eyes took them in on my phone screen as LWT style black tape!

Most interested to know if it’s a real RS engine, or rather an RS MFI spec engine.
Dealer descriptions can so often be misleading, can they not.

Is this the car that was for sale at Hairpin about 8 years ago?

9 times out of 10 when a car is described as having a 2.7RS engine they mean an RS-spec engine - not that there's anything wrong with that ...

This 2.7RSL has sill trims, or are they a different spec?

Sounds to me like they think they are RSR wheels Andy......

"the builder of this 911 opted for an extremely rare set of genuine 2.8 RSR Fuchs alloys to complete the road race car feel. The magnesium alloy wheels are wider than those fitted to a standard RS..."

Isn’t it all just a bit of dealer confusion, and as usual we’re the nerds who know more ‘cos we’re obsessed?

My money is on the rears being date matched 73 8x15s. True to say that’s nice and desirable to have on a 2.7RS rep.
Or even - reaching here, but could be - a pair of 8s that were at some point on the front of an RSR, and now are fitted to the rear of this car.

The dealer tried to understand what the seller had said about the wheels, did some research, learned that some of the original 2.7 RS came with 7x15s on the back, and in the end that all translated into the statement about “wider than standard”.

Just my nerdy guesses. Fun to play guessing games and ultimately...

...Still a nice car!
