Alternative seat suggestions
After doing the sprint at the weekend, it's obvious I need some more supportive seats as, being a skinny lad, I was sliding around on the stock ones. I wish to retain the back-pad, so am asking what – if any – alternative bucket-type seats has anyone else used in their 914?

Re: Alternative seat suggestions
Hi Keith, I had a Corbeau GT8 in mine years ago, a great compromise between plenty of support, and comfortable enough to drive from Wiltshire to NI and back for Christmas.
I was a couple of years younger then though ...........

Re: Alternative seat suggestions
I like GT8s, but afraid they'd place me a little too high in the car.

No, they would only bring you up to normal height!KS wrote:I like GT8s, but afraid they'd place me a little too high in the car.

Re: Alternative seat suggestions
I've got the 914 GT seats with 914 headrests in my rally car from Mark at Rennsport Classics. He only sells them in pairs but I have a customer who wants one only for his early car. Perhaps we can buy a pair between us?
They bolt straight in, look great, feel great. Let me know if you want a decent harness too. We get those made by Willans here in Banbury to fit between the headrest and the seat back without loads of excess webbing to gather up.

Curious if the Rennsport GT seats position one lower in the car that stock seats?camperco wrote:I've got the 914 GT seats with 914 headrests in my rally car from Mark at Rennsport Classics.
