Thanks Guys
As much as I'd love to clam credit for this work, it is in fact all down to Paul Foreman (Outlaw718 on here).
Any idea I've had he's been about a week ahead of me and any detail or concern he's delt with before and is on top of it...

All the best

Hi Guys
A quick update as I had a chance to pop in to Paul’s workshop on Friday and spend the morning falling in love with my car…
The mechanical rebuild is finished, there are a few detail bits safety harness, twin fuel pumps (just for
show ) to add, then it’s just set up (corner weights, rolling road and geo.) shake down and an MOT until she’s home

I only took a couple of pics while there, so I’ll save all the great little details until she’s home and I can post accompanying pics
But here the stuff I took…

The inner sills and floors are now in.

Image
The bodywork has pretty much remained as it was, but we’ve added a couple of (cheap & cheerful) reflectors to cover the holes for the now redundant/removed ‘beehive’ indicators.
The red rear lights feature some cool LED tech which allows them to flash ‘orange’ as indicators but remain red as rear and brake lights.
That’s it for now…

All the best
Ian F.

Oh and I almost forgot, I heard the new engine running for the first time, boy its LOUD in a Superbike crossed with an angry giant wasp kind of way, I rather like that... ;-)

That really is quite lovely Ian, you can see the effort that’s gone in and the attention to detail running through it.

Enjoy the drive (and get some ear plugs!) :)

Gear lever base needs stainless button head screws instead of the hex bolts.

Other than that I’ve got nothing. Looks immense.

Hi Paul, apparently the orignals had a lightweight wooden 'Duck board' arangement, the rubber mat is a much simpler thing to sort out and thats the way I think it will go.
Picture wise, I'm scouting some local places for when it gets home as its going to be trailered back.

Hi Sam, constructive critisum is allways good, I'll add the 'screws to 'Phase II'... ;-)

Hello Gary, I'm still getting my head round how nice the car is and that it's mine!
Ear-plugs & Wayfarers will be standard fitment and kept in the door storage...:-)

Thanks again gents

She’s home and already taking a drink...
More news once I’ve put some miles under her wheels...
But I think it’s safe to say “I’m a bit in love”!
