Wheel bearings & CV joints

After 10 minutes of my drive home I realised the wheel bearings and possibly the rear CV joints are shot.

Where is the best place for front wheel bearings, I have heard they are the same as another vehicle?

I am not very knowledgable on CV joints. Again are they the same as anything else?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Front wheel bearings are the same as a Beetle.
