Quarantine Curation - Car Films

Post by Ollie »

As we're all stuck at home... share your favourite car films :cyclops:

and if your watching online a link, Netflix, Amazon etc...

I'll go first - Ronin (1998) Netflix https://www.netflix.com/title/17688014? ... d=13747225

Oh for a time machine...
It doesn't matter if you speak your mind, because those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter.......!
Lusting after a 30/98, will settle for a 23/60.

the film that fuelled my passion for cars when I was young ( and was actually the first video I ever rented when we borrowed the neighbours video player ) :

Herbie

also when young & probabally my all time favorite car movie :

Cannonball Run 8) 8)

Smokey & the Bandit is also up there and then a film which is never classed as a car film .. but it is really as the car is a star itself .. The Blues Brothers 8)

Then love them or hate them , I have a real soft spot the all the Fast & Furious films

As you can tell , my car films are more of the 'low brow' type

.... just to add , car TV shows : original Duke of Hazard & The Fall Guy

Le Mans - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=17a79eTtq5k

Cannonball run, watched this so many times as a kid, terrible film but that opening scene with the Lamborghini was enough to turn any 10 year old into a petrol head! - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=evA3_NV7cPM

+1 for 2 Lane Blacktop.

Enjoyed Le Mans 66 more than I thought I would despite inaccuracies!

There used to be a Porsche film of 997 flat chat around the test circuit which was pretty awesome, lost it when my confuser got senile dementia and haven't seen it since!
