So got the bits round the master cylinder etc all finished off, and a new fuel line on that bloody awkward bit there. Then popped the closing panel back on.

Lowered the car down and rolled it outside. The. Got to the wheel swap :D

I am so happy with how it’s looking!! Needs some ride height adjustment still but it’s starting to get there :)

Also I Love how the wheels can look almost black in some lights but really grey in others :)

They fit in with the whole mage, an excellent wheel choice.
Keep the top scruffy, get the inside/under nice and solid.
Lovely. :)

Cheers guys :)

That’s the plan slowly, if I get to keep it! Just on the road for now. Interior is pretty good just needs a good scrub once I have finished building the doors up.

Progress has been slow recently as had other things going on, but have been able to get some time on the twelve. Started out by swapping out headlight lenses yet again.. NOS yellow lenses I think suit it.

At that point I got focused on getting it to run for the first time. So got to doing valve clearances etc and eventually the time came to hook up a fuel line and turn the key. After a few attempts pouring some fuel into the carbs to give it something to begin with and several pumps of the throttle the unmistakable sound of an engine starting to fire broke the drone of a starter motor trying and trying!
Next turn it fired straight up and started idling, quick play with the dizzy for some by the ear timing and she was sat happily. Few blips of the throttle and sounds great, didn’t want to do too much as wanted to time it properly first. However that’s when my heart sank…
I looked underneath and saw oil absolutely pouring out from flywheel oil seal area! Damn!

Decided to finish up the brakes by bleeding them and the. Get the car out of the garage turn it round and back in ready to pull the engine. That didn’t even go to plan, one snapped bleed nipple, fortunately enough there to still get it out but that stopped the brake bleeding for now.

So once car was turned round my dad I dropped the engine, pulled the flywheel only to discover….. no oil seal, nothing, wtf?! So a huge clean up, and light polishing of the flywheel and a new seal into place and reassembled it all and out the engine back in same day! Only to then discover when trying to start it that one of the carbs has sprung a leak. So next job is to rebuild the carbs. And need to source a brake bleed nipple haha!

Can’t figure how to put the very short video of it running on here, but it was a momentous occasion for me!

Good going!
A big flat drive way is a blessing too.

The few videos I've posted here and elsewhere I've loaded to You Tube and then posted the YouTube link.
That works a treat, bit longwinded mind..

You had to say that didn’t you Ralph! Hahahaha! My most hated exhaust out there and even I still see it in this but then other times think this ‘Ansa Marmitte’ exhaust actually looks ok on there :)

I seriously like it. I know they're a bit marmite - have you seen this 6 tip on Jim Breazeale's 911?
