What competition premium for a car that practiced but didn't start (let alone finish) the 24? Quite different from the seller's perspective than the buyer's
Absolutely, but 'very original' are the dealer's words, and the 911 engine went in in the '90s, but no mention of where the 4 Cam went......

The very first 911 I drooled over back in the early 80’s before eventually buying a car in 1985. It was in standard form then and Chris Harvey’s words in several articles about his own car were a fantastic read at the time. I still have the magazine with it on the front cover. Pity it’s been taken away from originality.

Funnily enough Mike I came across the car's for sale advert yesterday & was remembering some of those articles.

I saw him & the car a few times at Brands Hatch race meetings & always thought it was a great 'workhorse' ...

I knew you knew him back in the day but I never met him Andy. Always enjoyed his articles. There wasn’t a lot of in-depth, hands on, real life experience early 911 articles back then. He was the one who brought it to life for me at the time. It was still very much in the infancy of the 911 craze before things really took off.

The other car that stirred things up for me was a very low mileage Bahia red E which Mark Waring had for sale.

It depends which "period" you are looking at .............
We had a three outlet exhaust on our 911 in the early 80's

I was thinking it meant that the three outlet exhaust was original from the period the car was made in. Or was it?

The period being the years that that specific model was made in

Doubt the 3 outlet was a factory fit on any road car.Mine was made by Liestrict (spelling) who I think was Porsche Oem supplier.
