.

That 911R used to belong to Bill Noon at Symbolic Motors - I have a copy of his original inspection report when the car arrived in Ca in 2006 plus lots of detailed pictures that he sent me when I was researching 911R's back then ...

Remember going into Symbolic Motors on La Jolla in the late 90's, they had a Gullwing Merc for $220,000, seemed a fortune! Was working with Monica Lewinski at the time.....

That sucks !!

There's a (significant) unique feature of this particular 911R that never seems to be mentioned in any advertising 'blurb' ...

Johan Dierickx’s car. That whole SWB/LWB thing was strange as the torsion bars no longer lined up correctly with the holes in the wings…

As far as I'm aware, the precise details of when/why/where the conversion was carried out are 'hazy' but it was rumoured (many years ago) that it was carried out in '69 by the Race Dept after the car was badly damaged ...

No offer price from RMD but they say the 3 genuine 911Rs sold in the last few years went for between $4m and $5m and this one is unrestored / exceptional (apparently)
Just been advised the ‘68 T/R is being offered at €775k (one of c.34, raced at Le Mans in ‘69)

Looks like someone bagged themselves a lovely looking pastel blue 1970 911T on Car & Classic auction for £64.5k plus fees. Love this colour & looks in very good condition from the many photos.

I'm always very dubious buying from online auctions, especially older cars & never being able to get underneath. Hopefully buyer got a good one here. Certainly looks it.

That car has been for sale for ages, privately and with a dealer. Interesting it did better on C&C rather than CC.
The force is strong in this one ......
