I prefer them to the glass versions - something so period about the way they look up or down

I thought it was Andy’s car - watched harry metcalf doing a review of a lot of the cars on YouTube
The simple things you see are all complicated

Shame these cars don’t come up for sale on DDK anymore. I would be very tempted but don’t like the auction format.

I don't think that any subsequent owner(s) came on DDK after Andy sold the car ~ 7 yrs ago ...

Well spotted. Andy Haas moved on to a Healey 100 after the 911.

It’s been with Angus at Greatworth for a good while

Andy Haas' 911R 'homage' sold for £65k (plus buyer's fee) - 1/10th of the price achieved for the ex-Diana Escort RS Turbo which sold for £650k (plus fees) !!!

Even the auctioneer was stunned !

Great buy for somebody at that price given the work we knew went into it

I'd love a car like that. I wonder if this is the effect of a 1% interest rate rise.

1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

It’s £73k with fees of course. There’s no doubt cars are slipping back now, but I don’t think it would ever have been more than £80k would it? It’s a backdate remember.

Angus asked me what I thought it might be worth and I said ‘First of all it’s a very visceral and niche LWB backdate, albeit with lots of rare and expensive correct bits, but why they couldn’t change the wiper stalks and instruments I don’t know. £70-£75k maybe?’

I guess a niche item with limited demand may not be best suited to the auction format. You need multiple competing buyers.

Hi guys, yes a big Healey after the 911. That too is now gone and I am carless and a bit out of touch with what's hot and what's not.
I was pleased to see "my" car do well at auction the tax and premium pushed it higher than I sold for. I noticed it has has a pedal box replacement but other wise is pretty much how I built it. 233 bhp isn't too shabby either ..Hope the new owner has fun with it as that was all it was built for , not to please anyone but it's owner .
